It's not a new thing to us (tamils). At evey time we say " tamilan endru sollada thalai nimirndu nillada " but in the real life praising the actors like Rajini bringing us to keep our heads down " thalai kunindu nillada ". See, even in USA, most of them well educated peoples, praising him as a lord, ofcourse they too, they are all there to gain more money, so all are in the same boat.
